What is the CBC doing? Save jPod

Okay folks, if ever there was a time in the history of Canadian programming that we need to step up and support a show, this is it. For some reason, the CBC launched Douglas Coupland's jPod with great fanfare, however, within weeks, it dumped it off to the doomed Friday night slot swapping the spot with MVP: The secret lives of hockey wives.

I am not quite sure how that dreck, starring the mullet sporting actor from "the crazy canucks" managed to move jPod out of its original spot, although it was likely not due to ratings.

Thea real issue here? The CBC created a couple of shows that met the criteria for a mainstream network series that got picked up during the Hollywood writers strike. However, jPod was just unique enough to be a good watch, but not immediately evident to the US market. I would chalk this right up there with the loss of Arrested Development from Fox. Why don't people support quality writing and programming?

Come on folks, let's use the family guy approach and prove to our Public Broadcaster that jPod is worth saving... or else we will continue to be stuck with the likes of Corner Gas and Little Mosque on the Prairie.
